⁶I wait for the Lord
more than watchmen^(A) wait for the morning,
more than watchmen wait for the morning.^(B)

¹⁷I will wait for the Lord,^(A)
who is hiding His face from the house of Jacob.^(B)
I will wait for Him.

¹⁷I will wait^(A) for the Lord,
who is hiding^(B) his face from the descendants of Jacob.
I will put my trust in him.^(C)
