117 [a]Stay thou me, and I shall be safe, and I will delight continually in thy statutes.

116 Sustain me,(A) my God, according to your promise,(B) and I will live;
    do not let my hopes be dashed.(C)
117 Uphold me,(D) and I will be delivered;(E)
    I will always have regard for your decrees.(F)
118 You reject all who stray(G) from your decrees,
    for their delusions come to nothing.
