4 Yahweh is in His (A)holy temple; [a]Yahweh’s (B)throne is in heaven;
His (C)eyes behold, His eyelids test the sons of men.
5 Yahweh (D)tests the righteous,
But (E)the wicked and the one who loves violence His soul hates.
6 May He (F)rain [b]snares upon the wicked;
(G)Fire and brimstone and (H)burning wind will be the portion of (I)their cup.

He observes everyone on earth;(C)
his eyes examine(D) them.
5 The Lord examines the righteous,(E)
but the wicked, those who love violence,
he hates with a passion.(F)
6 On the wicked he will rain
fiery coals and burning sulfur;(G)
a scorching wind(H) will be their lot.
