26 (A)Therefore He raised His hand in an oath against them,
(B)To [a]overthrow them in the wilderness,
27 (C)To [b]overthrow their descendants among the [c]nations,
And to scatter them in the lands.

and ate sacrifices offered to lifeless gods;
