²⁴These have seen the works of the Lord, and his wonders in the deep.

²⁵He said the word, and there arose a storm of wind: and the waves thereof were lifted up.

²³So he said he would destroy^(A) them—
had not Moses, his chosen one,
stood in the breach^(B) before him
to keep his wrath from destroying them.

²⁴Then they despised^(C) the pleasant land;^(D)
they did not believe^(E) his promise.
²⁵They grumbled^(F) in their tents
and did not obey the Lord.
