You hide Your face, they are dismayed;
You take away their breath, they die
And return to their dust.

Psalm 104:29

New International Version

²⁹When you hide your face,^(A)
they are terrified;
when you take away their breath,
they die and return to the dust.^(B)

⁷then the dust [out of which God made man’s body] will return to the earth as it was, and the spirit will return to God who gave it.

⁷and the dust returns^(A) to the ground it came from,
and the spirit returns to God^(B) who gave it.^(C)
