Love Your Enemies

⁴³ “You have heard that it was said, Love your neighbor^(A)[a] and hate your enemy.

³⁹ The second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself.^(A)[a]

³¹ “The second is: Love your neighbor^(A) as yourself.^(B)[a] There is no other command^(C) greater than these.”

²⁷ He answered:

⁹ The commandments:

and whatever other commandment—all are summed up by this: Love your neighbor as yourself.^(B)[c]

¹⁴ For the entire law is fulfilled^(A) in one statement: Love your neighbor as yourself.^(B)[a]

⁸ Indeed, if you keep the royal law prescribed in the Scripture, Love your neighbor as yourself,^(A)[a] you are doing well.
