Good News Translation

16 “Come in, ignorant people!” To the foolish she says, 17 “Stolen water is sweeter. Stolen bread tastes better.” 18 Her victims do not know that the people die who go to her house, that those who have already entered are now deep in the world of the dead.

16     “Let all who are simple come to my house!”
To those who have no sense(A) she says,
17     “Stolen water is sweet;
    food eaten in secret is delicious!(B)”
18 But little do they know that the dead are there,
    that her guests are deep in the realm of the dead.(C)
