Proverbs 28:11-13

¹¹The rich man is wise in his own eyes and conceit, but the poor man who has understanding will find him out.

¹²When the [uncompromisingly] righteous triumph, there is great glory and celebration; but when the wicked rise [to power], men hide themselves.

¹³He who covers his transgressions will not prosper, but whoever confesses and forsakes his sins will obtain mercy.^(A)

Proverbs 28:11-13

¹¹The rich are wise in their own eyes;
one who is poor and discerning sees how deluded they are.

¹²When the righteous triumph, there is great elation;^(A)
but when the wicked rise to power, people go into hiding.^(B)

¹³Whoever conceals their sins^(C) does not prosper,
but the one who confesses^(D) and renounces them finds mercy.^(E)
