Proverbs 22:7-9

⁷The rich rule over the poor,
the borrower is a slave to the lender.

⁸One who sows injustice will reap trouble,
and the rod of his fury will perish.

⁹One with a bountiful eye will be blessed,
for he shares his bread with the poor.

and the borrower is slave to the lender.

⁸Whoever sows injustice reaps calamity,^(A)
and the rod they wield in fury will be broken.^(B)

⁹The generous will themselves be blessed,^(C)
