Proverbs 22:7-9

⁷The rich rule over the poor,^(A)
and the borrower is a slave to the lender.^(B)

⁸The one who sows injustice will reap disaster,^(C)
and the rod of his fury will be destroyed.

⁹A generous person^[a] will be blessed,^(D)
