Proverbs 20:9-11

⁹Can any of us really say,
“My thoughts are pure,
and my sins are gone”?

¹⁰Two things the Lord hates
are dishonest scales
and dishonest measures.
¹¹The good or bad
that children do
shows what they are like.

⁹Who can say, “I have kept my heart pure;^(A)
I am clean and without sin”?^(B)

¹⁰Differing weights and differing measures—
the Lord detests them both.^(C)

¹¹Even small children are known by their actions,
so is their conduct really pure^(D) and upright?
