¹⁰Fools should not live in luxury, and slaves should not rule over noblemen.

¹¹If you are sensible, you will control your temper. When someone wrongs you, it is a great virtue to ignore it.

¹²The king's anger is like the roar of a lion, but his favor is like welcome rain.

¹⁰It is not fitting for a fool^(A) to live in luxury—
how much worse for a slave to rule over princes!^(B)

¹¹A person’s wisdom yields patience;^(C)
it is to one’s glory to overlook an offense.

¹²A king’s rage is like the roar of a lion,^(D)
