Proverbs 15:24-26

²⁴The path of the wise leads upward to life, that he may avoid [the gloom] in the depths of Sheol (Hades, the place of the dead).^(A)

²⁵The Lord tears down the house of the proud, but He makes secure the boundaries of the [consecrated] widow.

²⁶The thoughts of the wicked are shamefully vile and exceedingly offensive to the Lord, but the words of the pure are pleasing words to Him.

²⁴The path of life leads upward for the prudent
to keep them from going down to the realm of the dead.

²⁵The Lord tears down the house of the proud,^(A)
but he sets the widow’s boundary stones in place.^(B)

²⁶The Lord detests the thoughts^(C) of the wicked,^(D)
but gracious words are pure^(E) in his sight.
