Proverbs 13:20-22

Good News Translation

²⁰^(A)Keep company with the wise and you will become wise. If you make friends with stupid people, you will be ruined.

²¹Trouble follows sinners everywhere, but righteous people will be rewarded with good things.

²²Good people will have wealth to leave to their grandchildren, but the wealth of sinners will go to the righteous.

for a companion of fools suffers harm.^(A)

²¹Trouble pursues the sinner,^(B)
but the righteous^(C) are rewarded with good things.^(D)

²²A good person leaves an inheritance for their children’s children,
but a sinner’s wealth is stored up for the righteous.^(E)
