Proverbs 11:15-17

15 He who is (A)guarantor for a stranger will surely suffer for it,
But he who hates [a]being a guarantor is secure.
16 A (B)gracious woman attains honor,
And ruthless men attain riches.
17 The (C)merciful man does [b]himself good,
But the cruel man [c]does himself harm.

17 Those who are kind benefit themselves,
but the cruel bring ruin on themselves.
