28 and in nothing fearing your adversaries, which is to them a sign of perdition, but to you of salvation, and that from God. 29 For to you it is given not only to believe on Christ, but also to suffer for his sake, 30 and to have even the same fight which you saw me have and now hear of me.

28 without being frightened in any way by those who oppose you. This is a sign to them that they will be destroyed, but that you will be saved—and that by God. 29 For it has been granted to you(A) on behalf of Christ not only to believe in him, but also to suffer(B) for him, 30 since you are going through the same struggle(C) you saw(D) I had, and now hear(E) that I still have.
