16 no longer as a slave but more than a slave, a brother, beloved especially to me, but even more so to you, as a man[a] and in the Lord.(A) 17 So if you regard me as a partner, welcome him as you would me. 18 [b]And if he has done you any injustice or owes you anything, charge it to me.

16 no longer as a slave,(A) but better than a slave, as a dear brother.(B) He is very dear to me but even dearer to you, both as a fellow man and as a brother in the Lord.
17 So if you consider me a partner,(C) welcome him as you would welcome me. 18 If he has done you any wrong or owes you anything, charge it to me.(D)
