12 (A)Awo Mukama Katonda n’agamba Musa nti, “Golola omukono gwo ku nsi ya Misiri oyite enzige, zijje ku nsi ya Misiri, zirye buli kantu konna akamera mu nnimiro, n’ebyo byonna omuzira bye gwataliza.”

13 (B)Musa n’agolola omuggo gwe ku nsi ya Misiri; Mukama Katonda n’aleeta embuyaga ezaava ebuvanjuba, ne zikunta olunaku olwo lwonna n’ekiro kyonna. Obudde bwe bwakya embuyaga ne zireeta enzige. 14 (C)Enzige nnyingi nnyo ne zigwa ku nsi yonna ey’e Misiri, ne zigisaanikira, okuva ku nsalo yaayo ey’oluuyi olumu okutuuka ku y’oluuyi olulala. Zaali nzige za kabi kanene, nga tewalabikanga ziri ng’ezo, era tezigenda kulabika. 15 (D)Zaabuutikira ensi yonna, ne wabaawo ekizikiza ku nsi; ne zirya buli kimera kyonna mu nsi, n’ebibala byonna eby’emiti omuzira bye gwali gutalizza; era tewaasigalawo kintu kyonna kya kiragala ku miti n’ebimera mu nnimiro, mu nsi yonna ey’e Misiri.

12 And the Lord said to Moses, “Stretch out your hand(A) over Egypt so that locusts swarm over the land and devour everything growing in the fields, everything left by the hail.”

13 So Moses stretched out his staff(B) over Egypt, and the Lord made an east wind blow across the land all that day and all that night. By morning the wind had brought the locusts;(C) 14 they invaded all Egypt and settled down in every area of the country in great numbers. Never before had there been such a plague of locusts,(D) nor will there ever be again. 15 They covered all the ground until it was black. They devoured(E) all that was left after the hail—everything growing in the fields and the fruit on the trees. Nothing green remained on tree or plant in all the land of Egypt.
