2 Look, I will make you insignificant(A)
among the nations;
you will be deeply despised.
3 Your arrogant heart has deceived you,(B)
you who live in clefts of the rock[a][b](C)
in your home on the heights,
who say to yourself,
“Who can bring me down to the ground?” (D)
4 Though you seem to soar[c] like an eagle(E)
and make your nest among the stars,(F)
even from there I will bring you down.
This is the Lord’s declaration.

and make your home on the heights,
you who say to yourself,
‘Who can bring me down to the ground?’(D)
4 Though you soar like the eagle
and make your nest(E) among the stars,
from there I will bring you down,”(F)
