⁶ Moses sent them into battle,^(A) a thousand from each tribe, along with Phinehas^(B) son of Eleazar, the priest, who took with him articles from the sanctuary^(C) and the trumpets^(D) for signaling.

¹⁴ Judah turned and saw that they were being attacked at both front and rear. Then they cried out^(A) to the Lord. The priests blew their trumpets

⁵ When you hear them sound a long blast^(A) on the trumpets, have the whole army give a loud shout;^(B) then the wall of the city will collapse and the army will go up, everyone straight in.”
