²³ will ever see the land I swore to give their ancestors.^(A) None of those who have despised me^(B) will see it. ²⁴ But since my servant Caleb has a different spirit and has remained loyal to me, I will bring him into the land where he has gone, and his descendants will inherit it.^(C)

⁹ and so that you may live long^(A) in the land the Lord swore to your ancestors to give them and their descendants, a land flowing with milk and honey.^(B)
