²¹ So they went up and scouted out the land from the Wilderness of Zin^[a] as far as Rehob near the entrance to Hamath.^[b]

¹⁴ When the community quarreled in the Wilderness of Zin, both of you rebelled against my command to demonstrate my holiness in their sight at the waters.” Those were the Waters of Meribah-kadesh^[a] in the Wilderness of Zin.^(A)

³ Your southern side will be from the Wilderness of Zin along the boundary of Edom. Your southern border on the east will begin at the east end of the Dead Sea.

⁵¹ For both of you broke faith with me among the Israelites at the Waters of Meribath-kadesh in the Wilderness of Zin by failing to treat me as holy in their presence.

Judah’s Inheritance

15 Now the allotment for the tribe of the descendants of Judah by their clans^(A) was in the southernmost region, south to the Wilderness of Zin and over to the border of Edom.
