18 On the command of Yahweh[a] the Israelites[b] would set out, and on the command of Yahweh[c] they encamped; all the days that the cloud dwelled on the tabernacle they encamped. 19 And when the cloud prolonged on the tabernacle many days the Israelites[d] kept the kept requirement of Yahweh and did not set out. 20 When the cloud remained[e] a number of days on the tabernacle, on the command of Yahweh[f] they encamped; and on the command of Yahweh[g] they set out.

18 At the Lord’s command the Israelites set out, and at his command they encamped. As long as the cloud stayed over the tabernacle, they remained(A) in camp. 19 When the cloud remained over the tabernacle a long time, the Israelites obeyed the Lord’s order(B) and did not set out.(C) 20 Sometimes the cloud was over the tabernacle only a few days; at the Lord’s command they would encamp, and then at his command they would set out.
