18 At the [a]commandment of the [b]Lord the children of Israel journeyed, and at the commandment of the Lord they pitched: as long as the cloud abode upon the Tabernacle, (A)they [c]lay still.

19 And when the cloud tarried still upon the Tabernacle a long time, the children of Israel kept the [d]watch of the Lord, and journeyed not.

20 So when the cloud abode [e]a few days upon the Tabernacle, they abode in their tents according to the commandment of the Lord: for they journeyed at the commandment of the Lord.

18 At the Lord’s command the Israelites set out, and at his command they encamped. As long as the cloud stayed over the tabernacle, they remained(A) in camp. 19 When the cloud remained over the tabernacle a long time, the Israelites obeyed the Lord’s order(B) and did not set out.(C) 20 Sometimes the cloud was over the tabernacle only a few days; at the Lord’s command they would encamp, and then at his command they would set out.
