⁸⁹ When Moses entered the tent of meeting^(A) to speak with the Lord,^(B) he heard the voice speaking to him from between the two cherubim above the atonement cover^(C) on the ark of the covenant law.^(D) In this way the Lord spoke to him.

⁴² But when the assembly gathered in opposition^(A) to Moses and Aaron and turned toward the tent of meeting, suddenly the cloud covered it and the glory of the Lord^(B) appeared.

¹⁰ When the priests withdrew from the Holy Place, the cloud^(A) filled the temple of the Lord. ¹¹ And the priests could not perform their service^(B) because of the cloud, for the glory^(C) of the Lord filled his temple.

¹² Then Solomon said, “The Lord has said that he would dwell in a dark cloud;^(D)

⁵ Above the ark were the cherubim of the Glory,^(A) overshadowing the atonement cover.^(B) But we cannot discuss these things in detail now.
