5 While he is separated by his vow, the (A)razor shall not come upon his head, until the days be out, in the which he separateth himself unto the Lord, he shall be holy, and shall let the locks of the hair of his head grow.
6 During the time that he separateth himself unto the Lord, he shall come at no [a]dead body:
7 He shall not make himself unclean at the death of his father or mother, brother, or sister: for the consecration of his God is upon [b]his head.

5 “‘During the entire period of their Nazirite vow, no razor(A) may be used on their head.(B) They must be holy until the period of their dedication to the Lord is over; they must let their hair grow long.
6 “‘Throughout the period of their dedication to the Lord, the Nazirite must not go near a dead body.(C) 7 Even if their own father or mother or brother or sister dies, they must not make themselves ceremonially unclean(D) on account of them, because the symbol of their dedication to God is on their head.
