⁶ “Speak to the children of Israel: ^(A)‘When a man or woman commits any sin that men commit in unfaithfulness against the Lord, and that person is guilty,

^7 (A)then he shall confess the sin which he has committed. He shall make restitution for his trespass ^(B)in full, plus one-fifth of it, and give it to the one he has wronged.

²² And Hezekiah gave encouragement to all the Levites ^(A)who taught the good knowledge of the Lord; and they ate throughout the feast seven days, offering peace offerings and ^(B)making confession to the Lord God of their fathers.

¹⁰ Then Ezra the priest stood up and said to them, “You have ^[a]transgressed and ^[b]have taken pagan wives, adding to the guilt of Israel.

¹¹ Now therefore, ^(A)make confession to the Lord God of your fathers, and do His will; ^(B)separate yourselves from the peoples of the land, and from the pagan wives.”
