37 The men in the tribe of Reuben built up again Heshbon, Elealeh, Kiriathaim. 38 Nebo, Baal-Meon and Sibmah. They gave new names to the cities that they built up again.
39 The descendants of Makir, the son of Manasseh, attacked Gilead. They sent away the people who lived there.

37 And the Reubenites rebuilt Heshbon,(A) Elealeh(B) and Kiriathaim,(C) 38 as well as Nebo(D) and Baal Meon (these names were changed) and Sibmah.(E) They gave names to the cities they rebuilt.
39 The descendants of Makir(F) son of Manasseh went to Gilead,(G) captured it and drove out the Amorites(H) who were there.
