3 “Ataroth, Dibon, Jazer, Nimrah, Heshbon, Elealeh, Sebam, Nebo, and Beon— 4 the land that the Lord defeated in the sight of the community of Israel—is perfect for cattle and your servants have cattle. 5 If we’ve found favor in your sight, let this land be given to your servants as our possession instead of us crossing the Jordan River.”[a]

3 “Ataroth,(A) Dibon,(B) Jazer,(C) Nimrah,(D) Heshbon,(E) Elealeh,(F) Sebam,(G) Nebo(H) and Beon(I)— 4 the land the Lord subdued(J) before the people of Israel—are suitable for livestock,(K) and your servants have livestock. 5 If we have found favor in your eyes,” they said, “let this land be given to your servants as our possession. Do not make us cross the Jordan.(L)”
