³⁸ Those who were to camp before the tabernacle on the east, before the tent of meeting towards the sunrise, were Moses and Aaron and his sons, ^(A)guarding the sanctuary itself, to protect^[a] the people of Israel. And any outsider who came near was to be put to death.

^21 (A)In the tent of meeting, ^(B)outside the veil that is before the testimony, Aaron and his sons shall tend it from evening to morning before the Lord. It shall be a statute for ever to be observed throughout their generations by the people of Israel.

⁷ And Aaron shall ^(A)burn fragrant incense on it. Every morning when he ^(B)dresses the lamps he shall burn it,

³ Outside the veil of the testimony, in the tent of meeting, Aaron shall arrange it from evening to morning before the Lord regularly. It shall be a statute for ever throughout your generations.
