3 So Israel was joined to Baal of Peor, and (A)the anger of the Lord was aroused against Israel.
4 Then the Lord said to Moses, (B)“Take all the leaders of the people and hang the offenders before the Lord, out in the sun, (C)that the fierce anger of the Lord may turn away from Israel.”
5 So Moses said to (D)the judges of Israel, (E)“Every one of you kill his men who were joined to Baal of Peor.”

New International Version
3 So Israel yoked themselves to(A) the Baal of Peor.(B) And the Lord’s anger burned against them.
4 The Lord said to Moses, “Take all the leaders(C) of these people, kill them and expose(D) them in broad daylight before the Lord,(E) so that the Lord’s fierce anger(F) may turn away from Israel.”
5 So Moses said to Israel’s judges, “Each of you must put to death(G) those of your people who have yoked themselves to the Baal of Peor.”(H)
