The Lord heard the voice of Israel and delivered up the Canaanites; then they [a]utterly destroyed them and their cities. Thus the name of the place was called [b](A)Hormah.

Then they set out from Mount Hor by the way of the [c]Red Sea, to (B)go around the land of Edom; and the [d]people became impatient because of the journey. The people spoke against God and Moses, “(C)Why have you brought us up out of Egypt to die in the wilderness? For there is no [e]food and no water, and [f](D)we loathe this miserable food.”
