24 (A)And Israel defeated him with the edge of the sword and took possession of his land from the Arnon to the (B)Jabbok, as far as to the Ammonites, for the border of the Ammonites was strong. 25 And Israel took all these cities, and Israel settled in all the cities of the Amorites, in Heshbon, and in all its villages.

24 Israel, however, put him to the sword(A) and took over his land(B) from the Arnon to the Jabbok,(C) but only as far as the Ammonites,(D) because their border was fortified. 25 Israel captured all the cities of the Amorites(E) and occupied them,(F) including Heshbon(G) and all its surrounding settlements.
