King Sihon Defeated^(A)

²¹ Then ^(B)Israel sent messengers to Sihon king of the Amorites, saying,

^22 (A)“Let me pass through your land. We will not turn aside into fields or vineyards; we will not drink water from wells. We will go by the King’s Highway until we have passed through your territory.”

¹⁹ Then ^(A)Israel sent messengers to Sihon king of the Amorites, king of Heshbon; and Israel said to him, “Please ^(B)let us pass through your land into our place.”
