Numbers 2:2-4

New International Version

²“The Israelites are to camp around the tent of meeting some distance from it, each of them under their standard^(A) and holding the banners of their family.”

³On the east, toward the sunrise, the divisions of the camp of Judah are to encamp under their standard. The leader of the people of Judah is Nahshon son of Amminadab.^(B) ⁴His division numbers 74,600.

²Every man of the children of Israel shall pitch by his own standard, with the ensign of their father's house: far off about the tabernacle of the congregation shall they pitch.

³And on the east side toward the rising of the sun shall they of the standard of the camp of Judah pitch throughout their armies: and Nahshon the son of Amminadab shall be captain of the children of Judah.

⁴And his host, and those that were numbered of them, were threescore and fourteen thousand and six hundred.

²^(A)“Everyone of the children of Israel shall camp by his own ^[a]standard, beside the emblems of his father’s house; they shall camp ^(B)some distance from the tabernacle of meeting. ³On the ^(C)east side, toward the rising of the sun, those of the standard of the forces with Judah shall camp according to their armies; and ^(D)Nahshon the son of Amminadab shall be the leader of the children of Judah.” ⁴And his army was numbered at seventy-four thousand six hundred.
