Then the heifer shall be burned in his sight: (A)its hide, its flesh, its blood, and its offal shall be burned. And the priest shall take (B)cedar wood and (C)hyssop and scarlet, and cast them into the midst of the fire burning the heifer. (D)Then the priest shall wash his clothes, he shall bathe in water, and afterward he shall come into the camp; the priest shall be unclean until evening.

While he watches, the heifer is to be burned—its hide, flesh, blood and intestines.(A) The priest is to take some cedar wood, hyssop(B) and scarlet wool(C) and throw them onto the burning heifer. After that, the priest must wash his clothes and bathe himself with water.(D) He may then come into the camp, but he will be ceremonially unclean till evening.
