3 Wherefore now hath the Lord brought us into this land to fall upon the sword? our wives and our children shall be [a]a prey: were it not better for us to return into Egypt?
4 And they said one to another, Let us make a captain and return into Egypt.
5 Then Moses and Aaron [b]fell on their faces before all the assembly of the Congregation of the children of Israel.

New International Version
3 Why is the Lord bringing us to this land only to let us fall by the sword?(A) Our wives and children(B) will be taken as plunder.(C) Wouldn’t it be better for us to go back to Egypt?(D)” 4 And they said to each other, “We should choose a leader and go back to Egypt.(E)”
5 Then Moses and Aaron fell facedown(F) in front of the whole Israelite assembly(G) gathered there.
