¹⁸ ‘^(A)Yahweh is slow to anger and abundant in lovingkindness, forgiving iniquity and transgression; but ^(B)He will by no means clear the guilty, ^(C)visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children ^[a]to the third and the fourth generations.’

⁹ You shall know therefore that Yahweh your God, ^(A)He is God, ^(B)the faithful God, ^(C)who keeps ^[a]His covenant and ^[b]His lovingkindness to a thousand generations with those who ^(D)love Him and keep His commandments;

¹⁸ who ^(A)shows lovingkindness to thousands, but ^(B)repays the iniquity of fathers into the bosom of their children after them, O ^(C)great and ^(D)mighty God. ^(E)Yahweh of hosts is His name,
