²¹ But Moses said, “The people, among whom I am, are 600,000 on foot; yet You have said, ‘I will give them meat, so that they may eat for a whole month.’ ²² Should flocks and herds be slaughtered for them, to be sufficient for them? Or should all the fish of the sea be gathered together for them, to be sufficient for them?”

⁵ Therefore Jesus, lifting up His eyes and seeing that a large crowd was coming to Him, *said to ^(A)Philip, “Where should we buy bread, so that these people may eat?” ⁶ And this He was saying to ^(B)test him, for He Himself knew what He was going to do. ^7 (C)Philip answered Him, “^(D)Two hundred ^[a]denarii worth of bread is not sufficient for them, for everyone to receive a little.” ⁸ One of His ^(E)disciples, ^(F)Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother, *said to Him, ⁹ “There is a boy here who has five barley loaves and two ^(G)fish, but what are these for so many people?”
