Fire From the Lord

11 Now the people complained^(A) about their hardships in the hearing of the Lord,^(B) and when he heard them his anger was aroused.^(C) Then fire from the Lord burned among them^(D) and consumed^(E) some of the outskirts of the camp.

³³ But while the meat was still between their teeth^(A) and before it could be consumed, the anger^(B) of the Lord burned against the people, and he struck them with a severe plague.^(C)

³⁷ these men who were responsible for spreading the bad report^(A) about the land were struck down and died of a plague^(B) before the Lord.

³² and the earth opened its mouth and swallowed them^(A) and their households, and all those associated with Korah, together with their possessions. ³³ They went down alive into the realm of the dead,^(B) with everything they owned; the earth closed over them, and they perished and were gone from the community.

³⁵ And fire came out from the Lord^(A) and consumed^(B) the 250 men who were offering the incense.
