Sounding the Trumpet in Battle

“When you wage war in your land against an enemy who is hostile to you, you are to sound an alarm with the trumpets. Then you will be remembered before the face of the Lord your God and you will be delivered from your enemies. 10 At the beginning of the month, during your time of rejoicing at the appointed place, sound the trumpet over your burnt offering, then sacrifice your peace offering, since they are to be your memorial before the Lord your God. I am the Lord your God.”

This is to be a lasting ordinance for you and the generations to come.(A) When you go into battle in your own land against an enemy who is oppressing you,(B) sound a blast on the trumpets.(C) Then you will be remembered(D) by the Lord your God and rescued from your enemies.(E) 10 Also at your times of rejoicing—your appointed festivals and New Moon feasts(F)—you are to sound the trumpets(G) over your burnt offerings(H) and fellowship offerings,(I) and they will be a memorial for you before your God.
