6 Moses sent ·those men [L a thousand from each tribe] to war; Phinehas son of Eleazar the priest was with them. He took with him the ·holy things [or vessels of the Holy Place] and the trumpets for giving the alarm.

6 Moses sent them into battle,(A) a thousand from each tribe, along with Phinehas(B) son of Eleazar, the priest, who took with him articles from the sanctuary(C) and the trumpets(D) for signaling.
