33 You have been just in all that has come upon us, for you have dealt faithfully and we have acted wickedly; 34 our kings, our officials, our priests, and our ancestors have not kept your law or heeded the commandments and the warnings that you gave them. 35 Even in their own kingdom, and in the great goodness you bestowed on them, and in the large and rich land that you set before them, they did not serve you and did not turn from their wicked works.

33 In all that has happened to us, you have remained righteous;(A) you have acted faithfully, while we acted wickedly.(B) 34 Our kings,(C) our leaders, our priests and our ancestors(D) did not follow your law; they did not pay attention to your commands or the statutes you warned them to keep. 35 Even while they were in their kingdom, enjoying your great goodness(E) to them in the spacious and fertile land you gave them, they did not serve you(F) or turn from their evil ways.
