Nehemiah 6:9

⁹For they were all trying to intimidate^(A) us, saying, “They will become discouraged^[a] in the work,^(B) and it will never be finished.”

But now, my God, strengthen me.^[b]^(C)

Nehemiah 6:9

New International Version

⁹They were all trying to frighten us, thinking, “Their hands will get too weak for the work, and it will not be completed.”

But I prayed, “Now strengthen my hands.”

¹³He was hired, so that I would be intimidated,^(A) do as he suggested, sin, and get a bad reputation, in order that they could discredit me.

¹³He had been hired to intimidate me so that I would commit a sin by doing this, and then they would give me a bad name to discredit me.^(A)
