Nehemiah 2:12-14

12 Then I got up in the night, I and a few men with me. I did not tell anyone what my God was putting into my mind to do for Jerusalem. There was no animal with me except the one I was sitting on. 13 I went out at night by the Valley Gate to the Dragon’s Well and to the Waste Gate. I looked at the walls of Jerusalem which were broken down and its gates which were destroyed by fire. 14 Then I went on to the Well Gate and the King’s Pool, but there was no place for the animal I was on to pass.

New International Version
12 I set out during the night with a few others. I had not told anyone what my God had put in my heart to do for Jerusalem. There were no mounts with me except the one I was riding on.
13 By night I went out through the Valley Gate(A) toward the Jackal[a] Well and the Dung Gate,(B) examining the walls(C) of Jerusalem, which had been broken down, and its gates, which had been destroyed by fire. 14 Then I moved on toward the Fountain Gate(D) and the King’s Pool,(E) but there was not enough room for my mount to get through;
