¹⁰ While Jesus was having dinner at Matthew’s house, many tax collectors and sinners came and ate with him and his disciples.

¹⁰ When they were in the house again, the disciples asked Jesus about this.

Jesus Is Lord of the Sabbath^(A)

6 One Sabbath Jesus was going through the grainfields, and his disciples began to pick some heads of grain, rub them in their hands and eat the kernels.^(B)

³ Then Jesus went up on a mountainside^(A) and sat down with his disciples.

9 Meanwhile, Saul was still breathing out murderous threats against the Lord’s disciples.^(B) He went to the high priest

¹⁰ In Damascus there was a disciple named Ananias. The Lord called to him in a vision,^(A) “Ananias!”

“Yes, Lord,” he answered.

¹⁹ and after taking some food, he regained his strength.

Saul in Damascus and Jerusalem

Saul spent several days with the disciples^(A) in Damascus.^(B)

²⁵ But his followers took him by night and lowered him in a basket through an opening in the wall.^(A)

²⁶ When he came to Jerusalem,^(B) he tried to join the disciples, but they were all afraid of him, not believing that he really was a disciple.

⁴ We sought out the disciples^(A) there and stayed with them seven days. Through the Spirit^(B) they urged Paul not to go on to Jerusalem.

¹⁶ Some of the disciples from Caesarea^(A) accompanied us and brought us to the home of Mnason, where we were to stay. He was a man from Cyprus^(B) and one of the early disciples.
