⁷ greetings in the marketplaces, and to be called ‘Rabbi’ by people.

⁸ “But as for you, do not be called ‘Rabbi,’ because you have one Teacher,^[a] and you are all brothers.^(A)

²⁵ Then Judas, His betrayer, replied, “Surely not I, Rabbi?”^(A)

“You have said it,” He told him.

⁴⁹ So he went right up to Jesus and said, “Greetings, Rabbi!” and kissed Him.

⁵ Then Peter said to Jesus, “Rabbi,^(A) it’s good^(B) for us to be here! Let us make three tabernacles:^(C) one for You, one for Moses, and one for Elijah”—

²¹ Then Peter^(A) remembered and said to Him, “Rabbi,^(B) look! The fig tree that You cursed^(C) is withered.”

⁴⁵ So when he came, he went right up to Him and said, “Rabbi!”^(A)—and kissed Him.

³⁸ When Jesus turned and noticed them following Him, He asked them, “What are you looking for?”

They said to Him, “Rabbi”^(A) (which means “Teacher”), “where are You staying?”

⁴⁹ “Rabbi,”^(A) Nathanael replied, “You are the Son^(B) of God! You are the King of Israel!”^(C)

² This man came to Him at night and said, “Rabbi,^(A) we know that You have come from God^(B) as a teacher,^(C) for no one could perform these signs You do unless God were with him.”^(D)

²⁶ So they came to John and told him, “Rabbi,^(A) the One you testified about, and who was with you across the Jordan,^(B) is baptizing—and everyone is flocking to Him.”^(C)
