⁷ Woe to the world because of ^[a]offenses! For ^(A)offenses must come, but ^(B)woe to that man by whom the offense comes!

Judas Agrees to Betray Jesus^(A)

^14 (B)Then one of the twelve, called ^(C)Judas Iscariot, went to the chief priests

¹⁵ and said, ^(A)“What are you willing to give me if I deliver Him to you?” And they counted out to him thirty pieces of silver.

²⁴ The Son of Man indeed goes just ^(A)as it is written of Him, but ^(B)woe to that man by whom the Son of Man is betrayed! ^(C)It would have been good for that man if he had not been born.”

^21 (A)The Son of Man indeed goes just as it is written of Him, but woe to that man by whom the Son of Man is betrayed! It would have been good for that man if he had never been born.”

^22 (A)And truly the Son of Man goes ^(B)as it has been determined, but woe to that man by whom He is betrayed!”

¹² While I was with them ^[a]in the world, ^(A)I kept them in ^[b]Your name. Those whom You gave Me I have kept; and ^(B)none of them is ^[c]lost ^(C)except the son of ^[d]perdition, ^(D)that the Scripture might be fulfilled.
