23 [a] Now when Jesus came into the ruler’s house, and saw the [b]minstrels and the multitude making noise,
24 He said unto them, Get you hence: for the maid is not dead, but sleepeth. And they laughed him to scorn.
25 And when the multitude were put forth, he went in and took her by the hand, and the maid arose.

23 When Jesus entered the synagogue leader’s house and saw the noisy crowd and people playing pipes,(A) 24 he said, “Go away. The girl is not dead(B) but asleep.”(C) But they laughed at him. 25 After the crowd had been put outside, he went in and took the girl by the hand, and she got up.(D)
